At an AED 50,000+ monthly salary, we compared the 129 cards Perkly tracks that are open to you, each counted once rather than once per spend tier, and left out cards that need a private banking relationship. We took the spending Perkly users on this salary typically enter, about AED 14,800 a month, and worked out what each card would pay back in a year after its annual fee. Below is the best card for each kind of spending, with the runner-up from a different card family.
The picks are calculated from each card's rates, caps and fees as they stood on 27 September 2026, and the everyday picks all pay cashback or general points you can use, never airline miles you would have to save up for. Your own spending will differ, so treat them as a starting point.

10% travel
At an AED 50,000+ salary this is our pick for all-rounder, groceries and dining, fuel and commuting and online shopping. On AED 14,800 a month of spending, it returns about AED 9,099 a year after fees, mostly from 10% on dining (AED 3,321 a year), 10% on travel (AED 3,122 a year) and 10% on groceries (AED 2,341 a year).
It returns about AED 8,033 when the same spending leans to groceries and dining, about AED 5,014 when the same spending leans to fuel and commuting and about AED 5,409 when the same spending leans to online shopping.
It pays 10% back on travel, groceries and dining, capped at AED 400, AED 300 and AED 300 a month, 3% on other shopping paid with Apple Pay, Samsung Pay or Google Pay (capped at AED 150 a month), 1% on other shopping (capped at AED 100 a month) and 0.25% on petrol, transport, bills, school fees, telecom, government and property payments, up to AED 1,250 a month in all. Our figures count the 3% on everyday shopping, since most holders pay that way, and 1% on online card payments. It pays nothing in a statement month with less than AED 10,000 of spending. The first year is free; after that AED 997.50 a year, waived when you spend AED 100,000 in a year. Minimum salary AED 20,000.
When your spending leans to groceries and dining the monthly cap on dining and groceries is reached, so spending more there earns nothing extra.

- 10% cashback on travel (cap AED 400/mo), dining and supermarkets (cap AED 300 each/mo)

The top travel earn rate applies only to Etihad Airways spend, including etihad.com, branches and the call centre. General travel earns a lower standard rate. Miles can only be used with Etihad Guest.
At an AED 50,000+ salary this is our pick for travel and Etihad Guest. On AED 14,800 a month of spending weighted to travel, it returns about AED 9,221 a year after fees, mostly from 6.4% on travel (AED 4,271 a year), 9.6% on spending abroad (AED 3,410 a year) and 6.4% on other shopping (AED 1,147 a year).
It earns 3.5 Etihad Guest Miles per US dollar at Etihad Airways, 3 abroad (2 in Europe and the UK), 2 on most local spending and 0.3 on groceries, fuel, bills and fast food. At Perkly's value of a Mile (AED 0.1175) that is about 11.2%, 9.6%, 6.4% and 1%; we count its other travel at the 6.4% local rate. The fee is AED 2,625 a year, or AED 1,575 on Emirates Islamic's lower-fee option, which is the one its current 200,000-Mile campaign runs on. The dearer option differs only in its welcome Miles, which these figures leave out, so they use AED 1,575. Minimum salary AED 20,000. Shariah-compliant.

- Earn 3.5 Etihad Guest Miles per USD on Etihad, 3 on international, 2 on domestic spend

Emirates Islamic's top Skywards card earns Miles worth about 10.8% on Emirates and flydubai tickets booked directly, 6.2% abroad and 4.6% on most local spending, but under 1% on groceries, fuel and bills, at Perkly's value of a Skywards Mile (AED 0.1129). You choose 2 of 5 categories (groceries, fuel, international spending, dining, education) for the higher rate. This is the groceries and dining pair. The rate is tiered on your monthly spending: 1% up to AED 3,000, 3% from AED 3,000 to AED 8,000, and 5% only above AED 8,000, with AED 250 a month on each chosen category and AED 500 a month in all. Other retail earns 1%; government spending, including tolls and public transport, earns nothing. No annual fee, and Al Hilal publishes no minimum salary. Shariah-compliant.

The best card for each kind of spending
Figures are what each card would return in a year on typical spending for this salary, after its annual fee. The runner-up is the best card from a different card family.
- Best all-rounder: RAKBANK World Credit Card, about AED 9,099 a year after fees. Runner-up from another card family: Al Hilal Bank Cashback Credit Card, about AED 4,041 (on its top tier, which needs more than AED 8,000 of spending a month; below that it pays a lower rate).
- Groceries and dining: RAKBANK World Credit Card, about AED 8,033 a year after fees. Runner-up from another card family: Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank 365 Cashback Credit Card, about AED 6,111.
- Fuel and commuting: RAKBANK World Credit Card, about AED 5,014 a year after fees. It wins on the rest of your spending rather than on fuel and commuting itself, so if that is most of what you spend, compare the runner-up. Runner-up from another card family: Invest Bank Mastercard Platinum Credit Card, about AED 4,321 (Invest Bank does not publish which spending it excludes from cashback). The pick pays nothing in a month you spend less than AED 10,000 on it; if you often spend less, take the runner-up, which has no minimum.
- Online shopping: RAKBANK World Credit Card, about AED 5,409 a year after fees. It wins on the rest of your spending rather than on online shopping itself, so if that is most of what you spend, compare the runner-up. Runner-up from another card family: Invest Bank Mastercard Platinum Credit Card, about AED 4,338 (Invest Bank does not publish which spending it excludes from cashback). The pick pays nothing in a month you spend less than AED 10,000 on it; if you often spend less, take the runner-up, which has no minimum.
- Travel: Emirates Islamic Etihad Guest Premium, about AED 9,221 a year after fees. Runner-up from another card family: EmiratesNBD Etihad Guest Visa Elevate, about AED 8,573.
- Emirates Skywards: Emirates Islamic Skywards Black Standard, about AED 5,488 a year after fees. Runner-up from another card family: Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Emirates Skywards Signature, about AED 3,699.
- Etihad Guest: the travel pick, Emirates Islamic Etihad Guest Premium, is also the best Etihad Guest card.
- No annual fee: Al Hilal Bank Cashback Credit Card, about AED 4,041 a year after fees (on its top tier, which needs more than AED 8,000 of spending a month; below that it pays a lower rate). Runner-up from another card family: RAKBANK Titanium Credit Card, about AED 3,298.
- Islamic: Al Hilal Bank Cashback Credit Card, about AED 4,041 a year after fees (on its top tier, which needs more than AED 8,000 of spending a month; below that it pays a lower rate). Runner-up from another card family: Emirates Islamic Switch Cashback, about AED 3,703.
The spending we assumed
We assumed about AED 14,800 a month goes on the card, 30% of an AED 50,000+ salary. For the all-rounder it splits like this: travel AED 2,602, groceries AED 1,951, other shopping AED 2,901, dining AED 2,768, bills AED 2,319, online shopping AED 1,449, fuel AED 811.
Each category pick keeps the same total and moves more of it into that category. For groceries and dining, for example, groceries become AED 4,911 and dining AED 5,728 a month. Bills such as utilities and telecom earn little or nothing on most cards, which is why a card's everyday categories matter more than its headline rate.
Emirates Skywards and Etihad Guest
The best Emirates Skywards card at this salary is Emirates Islamic Skywards Black Standard, about AED 5,488 a year after its fee on typical spending. Skywards cards earn their top rate only on tickets booked directly with Emirates (and, on some cards, flydubai), so we count the rest of your travel at each card's standard rate. If you do book Emirates directly, the same card could return up to AED 9,592 a year.
For Etihad Guest miles, the travel pick Emirates Islamic Etihad Guest Premium is also the strongest Etihad card at this salary.
What could change your pick
- If you shop mostly with one brand: First Abu Dhabi Bank SHARE Visa Infinite could return up to AED 10,637 a year, but only if that spending goes through its partner brand. Its card page sets out the partner and the conditions.
- Minimum spend: RAKBANK World Credit Card earns nothing in a month you spend less than AED 10,000 on it, so it suits steady spenders only. If you often spend less, Invest Bank Mastercard Platinum Credit Card has no minimum (Invest Bank does not publish which spending it excludes from cashback).
- Fee waivers: several of these cards waive their fee once you spend enough in a year. We still take the published fee off, so a card you use heavily may return more than shown.
- Welcome offers: not counted, because they change every month. Each card above shows its current offer.
How we worked these out
How we picked. For each salary we took every live card in Perkly's catalogue whose published minimum salary is at or below it. Cards that need a private or priority banking relationship are left out, and so are premium cards whose only stated minimum is the regulatory floor of AED 5,000.
- The spending is real. The monthly total and how it splits across groceries, dining, shopping, bills, fuel and travel come from the searches Perkly users on this salary have run, taking the typical searcher in each category (the median), not an average pulled up by a few big spenders. For each kind of spending we then move more of that total into the category being judged.
- Everyday picks pay rewards you can use. The best all-rounder and the groceries, fuel, online, no-fee and Islamic picks must pay cashback or general points. Airline and hotel cards (Emirates Skywards, Etihad Guest, Air Arabia, Marriott Bonvoy) are only considered in the travel sections, and those appear only in guides for salaries where at least 3 in 10 Perkly users choose travel as their goal: in this edition, AED 50,000 and above.
- The annual fee is taken off in full, even where a card waives it on enough spending, and half of any joining fee is taken off, spreading it over two years.
- A rate that applies only with one partner (one airline, one delivery app, one online store) is counted at the card's standard rate, which is what the same spending earns away from that partner.
- A card with spend tiers is counted on the tier your monthly spending reaches, and a card with a minimum monthly spend earns nothing in a month below it.
- Foreign currency fees are not deducted. If you spend abroad often, check each card's fee on its card page.
- Points and miles are valued at Perkly's standard rates: cashback at face value, Etihad Guest Miles at AED 0.1175 and Emirates Skywards Miles at AED 0.1129.
- Welcome offers and Perkly's estimates of perks such as lounge access are left out.
- Cards Perkly is not offering at the moment are left out, and so are cards only some readers can hold (a nationality, a gender or an account with that bank); where one of those would have won, it is named beside the pick with its condition.
- When the runner-up finishes within 5% of the pick and, unlike the pick, needs no minimum monthly spend, the runner-up becomes the pick.
- The runner-up is the best card from a different card family, so you see a real alternative rather than a sister card.
Every guide then goes through Perkly's review committee, which checks that the picks make sense for this salary and agree with what Perkly users on it actually choose. These are estimates, not a promise from any bank, and the bank decides on your application. Card data as checked on 27 September 2026. The Perkly wizard ranks every card on your own spending.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best credit card for an AED 50,000+ salary in the UAE?
On typical spending of about AED 14,800 a month, the RAKBANK World Credit Card returns the most after fees, about AED 9,099 a year. For travel it is the Emirates Islamic Etihad Guest Premium. The best card with no annual fee is the Al Hilal Bank Cashback Credit Card. These are estimates on card data checked on 27 September 2026. The Perkly wizard ranks cards on your own spending in about 2 minutes; it also counts partner-only rates and perks, which these guides leave out, so check the partner conditions it flags.
How many credit cards can I get with an AED 50,000+ salary in the UAE?
We compared 129 cards open to a monthly salary of AED 50,000 or more, 48 of them with no annual fee, counting each card once rather than once per spend tier and leaving out cards that need a private banking relationship. The bank still decides on your full application, including your existing debts.
Are welcome offers included in these figures?
No. Welcome offers change every month, so the figures show what a card keeps paying year after year. Each card's current offer is shown on its card in this article and on its card page.
Why does the RAKBANK World Credit Card win so many categories?
On typical spending at this salary most of its value comes from 10% on dining, 10% on travel and 10% on groceries, and that is enough for it to come out ahead in 4 of the 9 categories here. The runner-up from another card family is listed for each category if you would rather spread your spending across cards.
Is this pick right for you?
These picks use typical spending at this salary. Tell Perkly your own salary and how you spend and it ranks every card in the UAE for you, or talk your options through with Perkly Chat.
