Best Emirates Skywards credit cards in the UAE: September 2026

Seven Skywards co-brand cards from four banks, ordered by the interest Perkly users showed in September, with what each one earns and costs.

Four UAE banks take applications for Emirates Skywards credit cards: Emirates Islamic, Emirates NBD, ADIB and HSBC. In September the cards again drew more interest on Perkly than any other airline programme, and more of it turned into applications than in August. These are the 7 Skywards cards visitors applied for, clicked and read about most, from all four of those banks, ordered by that interest; Emirates NBD's Skywards Infinite makes the list on page visits alone. Dubai Islamic Bank's cards are left out because DIB stopped taking applications for them on 1 August 2026.

A tip for comparing them: banks quote Miles "per AED 3.67" or "per AED 3.68", which is simply per US dollar. So 3.5 Miles per AED 3.67 means 3.5 Miles per USD 1 spent.

The top travel earn rate applies only to bookings with Emirates, Emirates Holidays and flydubai, plus duty free, online food delivery and car booking apps. Other travel and everyday spend earns a lower standard rate. Miles can only be used with Emirates Skywards.

Emirates NBD's Skywards Infinite earns 2 Skywards Miles per USD on Emirates, Emirates Holidays, flydubai, duty free, online food delivery and car booking apps, 1.5 on international spend (0.75 in the EU and UK), 1 on local spend, and much less on groceries, fuel, bills and similar categories. It includes Skywards Silver for as long as you hold the card. Lounge access comes through the Visa Airport Companion app, under a yearly visit cap Emirates NBD does not publish and only after a foreign currency purchase of at least USD 1 in the year, made at least 10 days before the visit; otherwise a visit costs USD 32.

On its standard terms it is expensive to start: a joining fee of AED 3,148.95 and AED 1,575 a year, both including VAT, with a minimum salary of AED 30,000. When we checked on 6 October 2026, Emirates NBD's Skywards comparison page offered it with the first year free and up to 65,000 bonus Skywards Miles. The bank runs more than one welcome offer on this card at the same time, each with its own conditions: the card panel shows them, and the bank confirms which one applies when you apply.

Best for: High earners who book Emirates often and will use the welcome Miles.

  • Earn 2 Skywards Miles per USD on Emirates, flydubai, duty free, food delivery and car apps; 1.5 on international spend; 1 on domestic

What September's data shows

More of September's Skywards interest turned into applications than August's, and it was spread across both ADIB and Emirates Islamic. ADIB's Emirates Skywards Infinite, second in August, moved to the top with the most application starts and Apply clicks of any Skywards card. Emirates Islamic's Skywards Black with the Gold fast track rose from third to second, and ADIB's Skywards Signature and Emirates Islamic's Skywards Infinite were also applied for.

August's number 1, Emirates Islamic's Skywards Black Standard, drew only page visits this month and drops to sixth. Emirates Islamic's 100,000 Mile campaign on both Skywards Black cards closed on 30 September 2026, and neither card had a Skywards Miles welcome bonus when we checked on 4 October 2026. Emirates NBD's Skywards Infinite joins the list, and Emirates Islamic's Skywards Signature drops out.

At this volume a single application moves a card several places, so read the order as a guide to what people chose, not a league table.

Silver, Gold and what they are worth

Most Skywards cards give Skywards Silver from the start, which brings priority check-in, extra baggage and bonus Miles when you fly Emirates. Check how long it lasts: Emirates Islamic's Black cards keep it while you hold the card, while ADIB's Signature and Emirates Islamic's Infinite give it for the first year and then need USD 2,500 of Emirates spend a year. HSBC's Signature starts at Blue.

Gold adds a larger Miles bonus and Business Class lounge access when you fly Emirates, but no card simply hands it over. ADIB's Infinite and Emirates Islamic's Black with Gold both fast track it on USD 5,000 of your own Emirates spend, and on Emirates Islamic's card Gold also raises the fee from AED 2,100 to AED 5,775 a year.

The fee needs to earn its keep. At Perkly's value of a Skywards Mile (AED 0.1129), 1.5 Miles per US dollar on local spending is worth about 4.6%, so an AED 2,100 card needs about AED 45,500 of everyday local spending a year to cover its fee, before groceries, fuel and bills, which earn far less. If you fly Emirates only once or twice a year, a cheaper Silver card usually makes more sense than paying AED 4,000 or more for benefits you won't use.

Lounge access: count the condition

The lounge line on a Skywards card can mean very different things:

  • ADIB: unlimited visits through the Visa Airport Companion app, for you and a guest on the Infinite and for the cardholder on the Signature.
  • HSBC Skywards Infinite: unlimited for you and a guest, once you have made an international purchase of at least USD 1 on the card that calendar year, 15 days before you travel.
  • HSBC Skywards Signature: 12 visits a year, once you have made an international purchase of at least USD 1 on the card that calendar year, 15 days before you travel.
  • Emirates Islamic: 1 complimentary visit a year. Later visits are free only after a foreign currency purchase of at least USD 1 made 15 days or more before, otherwise USD 32 a visit.

For cards that pay on any airline, see our September travel list. To compare every Skywards card on your own spending, after fees and caps, use the Perkly wizard: it flags rates that apply only to Emirates and flydubai, so you can see what the rest of your spending earns.

How we built this list

This list is built from what people did on Perkly between 1 and 30 September 2026, not from what banks advertise and not from payments: no bank can pay to appear here or to move up. We count four things per card, and each visit counts once, at the furthest point it reached: an application submitted through Perkly, an application started, a click on Apply now, and a visit to the card's page. Each is weighted by how far it went: an application counts 10, a started application 5, a click on Apply now 3 and a page visit 1, and the list is ordered by the total. So a card many people explored closely can sit above one with a single application, and the signal shown beside each card is its strongest one, not the whole picture.

The data covers more than 300 card searches in September. Our own testing is excluded, and visitors who opted out of analytics are not counted. About one day of activity, 25 September, was lost in a technical incident and is not included. At this scale a single application can move a card several places, so read the order as "what people gravitated to", not as a precise league table. We publish ranks rather than raw counts for the same reason.

Card details in the text were checked on 4 October 2026 against Perkly's card data, which was reviewed bank by bank against each bank's own documents between 26 and 27 September 2026. The fees, earn rates and welcome offers shown in each card panel are live from Perkly's card database, so they stay current after this article was written. Always confirm the final terms with the bank before you apply.

Frequently asked questions

Which is the best Emirates Skywards credit card in the UAE?

In September 2026, ADIB's Emirates Skywards Infinite was the most chosen Skywards card on Perkly, ahead of Emirates Islamic's Skywards Black with the Gold fast track. The best one for you depends on how often you fly Emirates, how much you spend on the card and your salary: ADIB's Infinite needs AED 25,000 a month and its Signature AED 10,000.

Which banks issue Emirates Skywards credit cards in the UAE?

Emirates Islamic, Emirates NBD, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) and HSBC issue Emirates Skywards co-brand cards to new applicants, and Perkly compares all of them. Dubai Islamic Bank stopped taking applications for its Skywards cards on 1 August 2026.

Do Skywards credit cards earn Miles on flydubai?

Yes. Every card on this list pays its top rate on both Emirates and flydubai. ADIB, Emirates Islamic and HSBC pay it only on bookings made directly with the airline, and Emirates Islamic's Gold fast track counts Emirates tickets only.

Which Skywards cards have a welcome bonus right now?

At the time of writing (4 October 2026), ADIB gives 50,000 Miles on its Skywards Infinite and 25,000 on its Signature after your first purchase within 30 days. HSBC's campaign, for applications approved by 31 October 2026, gives up to 70,000 Miles on its Infinite and up to 40,000 on its Signature. Emirates Islamic's Skywards Infinite comes with 10,000 welcome Miles. Emirates NBD's Skywards comparison page offered its Skywards Infinite with the first year free and up to 65,000 bonus Miles when we checked on 6 October 2026; the bank runs other offers on the card at the same time, each with its own conditions, so confirm which one applies with the bank. Emirates Islamic's 100,000 Mile campaign on its Skywards Black cards closed on 30 September 2026. Each card's panel shows its current offer.

How often is this list updated?

Every month. Each edition of the Perkly Card Index covers one calendar month of activity on Perkly and is published early the following month. Card details on every page update automatically from Perkly's card database.

Is one of these your best card?

Popular is not the same as right for you. Tell Perkly your salary and how you spend and it ranks every card in the UAE for you, or talk your options through with Perkly Chat.
