Best cashback credit cards in the UAE: September 2026

The 8 cashback cards Perkly users applied for, clicked and read about most in September, and the conditions that decide what each one really pays.

By the Perkly research team · Published · Covers September 2026 · Card details checked 4 October 2026

Based on Perkly data for September 2026: more than 300 card searches, and the card pages, Apply clicks and applications that followed, on perkly.ae between 1 and 30 September 2026. Card fees, rates and offers on this page update live from Perkly’s card database.

Cashback is still what most people come to Perkly for: in September, 3 in every 5 of more than 300 searches were for a cashback card. These are the 8 cashback cards those visitors chose most, ordered by how far visitors went with each: applications count most, then application starts, Apply clicks and page visits, all added up (the method at the end gives the weights).

The headline percentage is the least useful number on a cashback card. What matters is where the rate applies, how much of it you can earn before the cap, and whether you spend enough to unlock it. Each card below says so plainly.

3% travel

A flat 3% cashback on spending at home and abroad, up to AED 12,000 of cashback a year, with no categories to track and no monthly minimum. It is free in the first year, then costs AED 500 plus VAT (AED 525) a year, and needs a salary of AED 5,000.

Invest Bank does not publish which spending is excluded from cashback, so Perkly counts bills, rent and school fees at 0% until the bank confirms. Foreign currency spending also earns 3%, but costs about 4.3% in fees (Invest Bank's 3% plus VAT, and Mastercard's charge of about 1.15%), so spending abroad on this card costs you about 1.3% more than it pays back.

Best for: People who want one simple rate on everyday spending and spend enough to cover the fee from year 2.

  • Earn 3% cashback on spending, capped at AED 12,000 cashback a year
  • Complimentary access to 25+ regional and international airport lounges

What September's data shows

A flat rate took the lead. Invest Bank's 3% card was not on August's list. Its pull is simplicity: one rate on most spending, with no category to choose and no monthly minimum, though its fee from the second year means it has to earn its keep.

Mawarid held its place. The Platinum was #2 in August and is #2 again, and the Titanium joined it at #3, so the 10% on groceries, dining and fuel is still what many visitors want.

Partner and threshold cards slipped. noon One, August's #1, is #6, and CBD One, FAB Cashback and NBF Islamic Platinum, all on August's list, did not make September's 8. The Duo, Wio and Barça are here mostly on card page visits, the weakest signal we count.

At this volume a single application moves a card several places, so read these as shifts in interest, not settled trends. For August's order, see the best cashback credit cards of August 2026.

How to choose a cashback card

Start with where your money goes. If it is spread across many shops, a flat-rate card like Invest Bank's 3% or ruya's 2% keeps things simple. If most of it is groceries, dining and fuel, a category card like the Mawarid Platinum pays more, up to its caps. If you live inside one app, a partner card like noon One can pay far more, but only there.

Then check three numbers:

  • The cap. A 10% rate capped at AED 250 a month stops paying at AED 2,500 of spend in that category; the Titanium's AED 100 cap stops at AED 1,000.
  • The minimum spend. The Duo drops from 5% to 1.5% below AED 5,000 a month, and Barça pays nothing below AED 1,000.
  • The fee against the cashback. Invest Bank's AED 525 from the second year needs about AED 1,460 a month of spending at 3% just to break even, and against a free 2% card the extra 1% only covers the fee above about AED 4,400 a month.

The Perkly wizard ranks every cashback card Perkly tracks on your own spending, after fees and caps, and flags partner-only rates and minimum-spend conditions beside each card.

How we built this list

This list is built from what people did on Perkly between 1 and 30 September 2026, not from what banks advertise and not from payments: no bank can pay to appear here or to move up. We count four things per card, and each visit counts once, at the furthest point it reached: an application submitted through Perkly, an application started, a click on Apply now, and a visit to the card's page. Each is weighted by how far it went: an application counts 10, a started application 5, a click on Apply now 3 and a page visit 1, and the list is ordered by the total. So a card many people explored closely can sit above one with a single application, and the signal shown beside each card is its strongest one, not the whole picture.

The data covers more than 300 card searches in September. Our own testing is excluded, and visitors who opted out of analytics are not counted. About one day of activity, 25 September, was lost in a technical incident and is not included. At this scale a single application can move a card several places, so read the order as "what people gravitated to", not as a precise league table. We publish ranks rather than raw counts for the same reason.

Card details in the text were checked on 4 October 2026 against Perkly's card data, which was reviewed bank by bank against each bank's own documents between 26 and 27 September 2026. The fees, earn rates and welcome offers shown in each card panel are live from Perkly's card database, so they stay current after this article was written. Always confirm the final terms with the bank before you apply.

How often is this list updated?

Every month. Each edition of the Perkly Card Index covers one calendar month of activity on Perkly and is published early the following month. Card details on every page update automatically from Perkly's card database.

Is one of these your best card?

Popular is not the same as right for you. Tell Perkly your salary and how you spend and it ranks every card in the UAE for you, or talk your options through with Perkly Chat.
